2022-01-20 Message from Sport Relief.

At long last, Sport Relief 2010 has arrived and is building up to just one thing - The Sport Relief Weekend!

It all kicks off on Friday 19th March with a day of fundraising fun at home, at work and at school, before a night of special Sport Relief tv on BBC One, packed full of celebrity performances and moving documentary films.

The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile on Sunday 21st March, where hundreds of thousands of people will take to the streets to raise money and change lives. You will be able to see all the action on The Sport Relief Mile Show on BBC One later that day.

The best bit is, all the cash you raise will be spent by Comic Relief to help people living unimaginably tough lives, both in the UK and across the world.

With the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti last week, which shocked and saddened us all, we will ensure that some of the Sport Relief cash you raise will help to rebuild the lives of those most affected.

Whether it is to support poor and disadvantaged people at home, or further afield, with loads of ways for you to get involved in Sport Relief 2010, we hope you will do just that.

2022-01-08 3D Camera launched

After the incredible success of Avatar Panasonic decided that it was time to rock the world in 3D and decided to release the world’s first Full HD 3D Camcorder. Unfortunately only available upon order (Made to order) this camera is also quite expensive, $21000 USD and records video on SDHC cards.
Still this camera is not made for everyone but this first step forward will bring soon other to do the very same…

Easier to Use
Current 3D systems are large-scale setups in which two cameras are fitted to a rig in parallel, or vertically intersect across a half-mirror. Separate recorders are also required. In Panasonic’s new Full HD 3D camcorder, the lenses, camera head, and a dual Memory Card recorder are integrated into a single, lightweight body. The camcorder also incorporates stereoscopic adjustment controls making it easier to use and operate.
The twin-lens system adopted in the camcorder’s optical section allows the convergence point** to be adjusted. Functions for automatically correcting horizontal and vertical displacement are also provided. Conventional 3D camera systems require these adjustments to be made by means of a PC or an external video processor. This new camcorder, however, will automatically recalibrate without any need for external equipment, allowing immediate 3D image capture.

2022-01-06 Ice Cold Beer anyone.

Whilst the UK begins another chaotic attempt to cope with the annual snow fall, it was not all bad for a group celebrating over the New Year.

Guests celebrating at the highest pub in England had a longer than expected stay, after heavy snow left them stranded for three days.

About 30 people arrived at the Tan Hill Inn in North Yorkshire  to welcome in 2010.

But the wintry weather conditions meant the residents were snowed in for a further two nights.
